Finishing an Escher
16″ (1977)
Termes uses one of M.C.Escher’s sketches and wraps it onto the sphere. These cubical structures look like the skeleton of a sky-scraper moving away from you in six directions. This piece is one of the best examples of the pure use of perspective.
