The Dome is a three frequency icosahedron dome.  The triangles are joined together to make diamond shapes and the floor continues the triangles geometries.

This is a study in optical illusions playing with blackbirds and faces.  An enclosed space usually will be the positive space.  Human faces are something that we also see very quickly so when you play with enclosed shapes and bird and human faces, it is hard to know what you will see first.  

Again, the rhombic triacontahedron was the substructure for this piece.  I found bands that run all the way around the sphere that I played off on for the roads.  The ant type creatures were used to help you with the inside-ness or outside-ness of the stairs.  They could go either way.  Two different roads cross in this piece.

I started with a rhombic triacontahedron on the sphere which has 30 diamonds on it.  I found this face where the eyes, mouths and noses come from those shapes.  One of the interesting things that came out of this is the five faces had to share eyes to make the full faces.

After spending a month at Half Moon Bay in California the ocean was still in my mind.  This piece grew from a geometrical system where a pentagon shifted, fits inside a pentagon.  This was taken to infinity inside the first pentagon.  It makes five wonderful spirals.  I used the twelve pentagon of the dodecahedron over the surface of the sphere so that made 60 spirals over the sphere.  It really looked like the ocean waves I was seeing in the ocean at Half Moon Bay.

This piece was created so people would be able to see what it is like to see a room from the inside of the sphere.  Many windows and open doors were designed to let you look into the inside.  What you find is that the six point perspective is very normal or real when seen from the inside.  

A face was designed on a triangle.  The lines of the face had to run off the edges of the triangle in a geometric way so it could fit back with itself in many different ways.  Eight faces were drawn on the sphere using the triangles of an octahedron.  These faces were then painted in a pointillist style.  Your mind has to mix the colors.

A bubble is forming on the side of St. Peter’s Cathedral.  I am not sure what that means.  You will have to decide.   The bubble is a transparent and silk screened acrylic sphere and the other sphere is acrylics on a polyethylene plastic sphere.

Sharing is playing with the idea that you can see images in geometric patterns as well as seeing images in organic clouds.   Many people see animals and people in the clouds.  You can look at geometric grids in the same way and find all kinds of images.  What do these images mean?  Only your subconscious knows.  The structure I use is a breakdown of the dodecahedrons pentagons.

The gargoyles have arrived in the church, either to scare off evil or to bring it.  These are famous gargoyles from around the world.  The church was made up by Termes.
