A Crete maze pattern is designed to fit together with itself 12 times.

Circles grow out from a vanishing point in a rhythm of hexagons.   At a certain point they break up into ribbons that flow off to a vanishing point on the back side.  This would be a great image for meditation.

This sphere shows the result of evenly spaced concentric circles and radiating lines. The triangles sometimes give you the sense of cubical holes. Spirals going both ways show up in this piece as well as concentric circles. This is a piece that works very well for meditation.

This explores the icosahedron broken into a pattern. Each of the six colors gets to dominate and it has its opposite same color. All the other colors are also there.

There are eight penrose tribars in this piece. They butte up against each other leaving only the square between them. They form an octahedron. The tribar is an impossible structure.

Horizontal patterns make up a scene of land formations and sky all around you.

This is one of the best examples of how six point perspective works. It uses a cubical world that project to infinity in six directions like looking from within a skeleton of a skyscraper that vanishes north, east, south, west, up and down. It ties all of these cubical structures together. Each line of the cube is a greater circle.

A checkerboard triangle pattern substructure is what started this painting off. It came from the icosahedron’s 20 triangles. Each triangle was divided from corner to middle of the opposite side so there would be six triangles in each of the twenty. That allowed for the checker board pattern. I did the checkerboard system in bright and dull colors. Looking at these patterns I found these people that all seemed to fit together.

This transparent hemisphere consists of long cubical patterns going to their six vanishing points.  It sits on the table. Many people look under the table to see why half of it goes through the table.  The mirror gives it that feeling.  The “Colors They are a Changin’ ” happens this way.  The colors on the outside of the hemisphere are different than the colors that are reflected in the mirror on the inside.  There was an extra layer of paint to get that to happen.

Four plastic balls were arranged into a tetrahedron.  The design on the balls were also based on the tetrahedron.  This allowed four colors to be used on the hanging tetrahedron so it would change colors as it turned.
